I tried doing something completely different this time. One of my teachers once said “Less is more”, so I did just that. I’m actually quite pleased with the result, it’s nice to experiment :)

Illustration for this week's Illustration Friday. This time I used an picture I already had, since it fit the theme.

This illustration is based on a short story by Ana María Matute called "La Niña Fea" ("The Ugly Girl"), which you can read here (only in Spanish though, I haven't been able to find an English version, sorry!)

Chasing the marine sun...

My entry for this week's Illustration Friday. This time I sort of took inspiration from one of my favourite book series ever, The Death Gate Cycle, and one of its wonderful worlds: one in which the whole planet is comprised of water, in which people inhabit inside the durnai, living creatures that constantly follow its underwater sun.

Also, I think I love drawing jellyfish... :)
